New Year's Eve 2010-11

In 2008, Team 1720 has built a large lighted ball for the City of Muncie, for a New Year's Eve event for the community which is coordinated by Muncie Downtown Development. This third-annual Muncie New Year's Eve Celebration included a family-friendly venue with, crafts, the Ball Drop and fireworks. The giant ball was lowered from a giant crane from Advanced Signs & Graphics. A photo journal of the original 2008 construction project can be seen here

Another successful Ball Drop: Team gathers in front of the 2010 NYE Ball

The rain held off while the crowds were gathered, but not
during our trip back to the workshop.

Rain coat?

The rain made for a beautiful parade home - thankfully most
everything had been sealed and weatherized on the ball.....

Going home: Phyxtgears lights up the town for a parade through town.
