2008 Challenge: "OverDrive" Summary

• January 5 - Kickoff - Official START of the 2008 Build Season. Kickoff begins an intense six weeks in which high school students and mentors design, build and program a robot that can play the 2008 game called "OVERDRIVE" (see animation of the 2008 game here)
• Muncie/Delaware Robotics Team hosted 63 people on Saturday, January 5th, for the unveiling of the 2008 FIRST Robotics Challenge! On February 17, over 150 people attended the Regional Robotics Invitational at Morrison Mock Building.
• Ship Day on February 19 officially ended the 6-week build season.
• Boilermaker Regional Competition (March 13 - 15) marked the end of our formal 2008 season.
• Next focus: Indiana Robotics Invitational, July 18 & 19.

Students, mentors, teachers, parents, sponsors, donors, and anyone interested in technology are welcome to participate. Anyone interested in becoming a member is encouraged to visit anytime. Contact team coordinator Cheryl LeBlanc for more information at 730-3052.

TEAM MEETINGS (location below)

• Regular team meetings (Off-season meetings, April 15 - July 30) and FALL meetings/workshops (August - December) are held every Wednesday from 5:30 - 8:30 pm in Morrison Mock Professional Building, throughout the year. See location details below.
  
  
• Fall Workshop schedule listed here - all team members are expected to participate in as many workshops/team meetings as possible.
  
  
• Build Season meetings M - Th, 5:30 - 9 pm; Sat 9 am - 5 pm; Sun (possible) 1 - 5 pm
