PhyXTGears is a robotics and technology team for high school students in Delaware County. A science and technology program, PhyXTGears is part of an international program called FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology). FIRST (www.usfirst.org) is an organization affiliated with NASA, and inspires and motivates high school students to become interested and involved in science and technology. FIRST robotics competitions are held annually on the regional and national level. Muncie/Delaware FIRST Robotics is a community-based program designed to enhance science, math, engineering and technology using an immersive, integrated, problem-solving teaching method.

Kickoff for the 2012 Build Season begins Saturday, January 7. New members (students and mentors) welcome. The season is only 6 weeks long - Applications due by 1/14/2012.
